God’s Holy Supernatural Power

            God loves you.  It is great news.  He loves you no matter what.  He loves you now and forever.  He loves you so much that he does not want to leave you so He has come into this world to give Himself to you.  And all you have to do is say “yes” to His gift of Himself.

             God wants to live with you, even in you spiritually.  That is union with God.  You can have it right now.  It is up to you.  God wants to give you all of Himself, right now, in this world.  He died for you, rose again for you, sits in heaven praying and interceding for you, and He wants to life in union with you.  He wants to give you His power for life now, and for life in heaven.

             It is true.  It is real.  Millions and millions of Christians know it is true and real, God’s power, His love, and His gifts – now and forever.

             Dunamis is God’s Holy Spirit pouring out His supernatural power to equip believers for service.  Dunamis is the Greek word in the Bible for God’s power.  Dunamis is the Greek root word for the English word Dynamite.  Dynamite is a very powerful explosive.  That is what God’s power is like. It is explosive power.  But it is much more powerful than any power in this world, or in this universe.

             This Dunamis is God’s power for us to live in this fallen world.  Jesus Himself could not serve until he had this power Mark 1:10.  So we too need the power of God to do what He wants us to do, and to be who He created us to be.

             The most important issue in living with God is the power of God.  This power is available to every Christian.  If you want to live in this world, and live the way God wants you to live, you need the Holy Power of God.

             Jesus lived continually in the power of God.  Only the Holy Spirit can pour out this power through you.  When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you get this power.  It is real.  You can feel it and see it work in you.  Dunamis is the power of God flowing out through you to accomplish God’s purposes.

             How does this happen?  The Bible tells us that the power of God is released through us in only one way: by faith.  If we have no faith, we will not have God’s power.  So to live in God’s power means to learn to live in faith, moment-by-moment, day-by-day.  It is a choice each believer can make, that each believer has to make.

             Knowing God well is one way to help us to live by faith.  Knowing God is something that we can attain by studying God’s Word, the Bible.  We can also find help from worship services, Orthodox, Evangelical, Pentecostal worship services.  In John 4:23 God directs all Christians to worship Him in spirit and in truth.  These are the kinds of believers that God seeks to be His worshippers.  God never seeks anything else from us.  

           Worship is found throughout the Bible.  We will be worshipping God in heaven.  Each individual Christian is the temple of God - the Holy Spirit lives in each one.  So God is in you.  It is a relationship.

 Also learning about the lives and examples of other Christians and the saints can help. 

 And prayer is very important.  Prayer is a conversation with God.  Through prayer you can ask God to help you live by faith and fill you with His Holy Spirit.  Then by faith God’s power with flow through you.

            Ultimately faith allows God’s Holy Spirit to flow through us.  We live by faith.  We can do this because of all the God has done for us, and because of all that God has given to us.
